Unintended Adventures

So much covering

I enjoy covering, but it is very tedious and takes a long time to accomplish simple tasks.

In my journey to finish the covering of the airplane I have successfully gotten the rudder and doors ready for patches and tapes. This leaves me with two flaps, two elevators, and a horizontal stabilizer left before I can start on the tapes and patches.

It’s getting closer. I wish there was more to say, but as with the other covering stuff it’s really just a time intensive job.

I’m making good progress n my engine monitor project and I suggest you check out my updates on ransclan.com.

  1. Hey man,

Where are you putting your position lights? Specifically, the tail light? I’ve got the round rudder and I’m trying to figure that out.

    • I’ll be using one of the 3-in-1 wing light systems. It combines strobe, position and navy lights so you don’t need a white position light on the tail.

      • Whaaaaaaaaat? No light on the tail? I’ll have to do some reading about the 3 in 1 system. Aveo? Or something else? Ordered from the factory or elsewhere?

        • Aveo and AeroLEDs makes them. I think I’ll order them elsewhere as they seem to carry a decent premium from RANS, but I could be wrong.

        • I also really wanted a red beacon, but couldn’t find a reason to do it other than I wanted to. And it would just increase my outflowing money haha.

          • This thing is the most painfully enjoyable money pit though!

          • You are correct. There is no shortage of things to buy for it or more expensive versions of the same thing to put in it.
